Hey guys,
I am Passion Sims, i'm 26 years old and I currently reside in Atlanta, Ga. I am excited to be starting my journey as a grad student here at Walden University. My mother currently owns 1 childcare center and one is in the process of being built from the ground up. The name of the daycare is called Children Under Construction in which I am employed full-time. The expected completion date of the second childcare facility is unknown but it expected to be open for business winter 16'. I am very excited to be gaining the experience, knowledge and expertise through Walden that is going to allow me to be the best professional/director that I can possibly be. The Masters of Early Childhood studies program is going to help me to flourish in my career. I am excited to start my journey!!!
I love the name of the center! Just like you, I am very excited with this new adventure. It is opening a whole new world for me. I never thought I had be in a class with people from so many places. I moved to AZ 4 years ago and was impressed when I learned the word "daycare" is not accepted because we do not "take care of days". In AZ they only use the term childcare. The first time I said daycare, my co-workers gave me a funny look.
